Precision Mining.
Responsible Stewardship.
At Gemstar Resources, we do not simply extract emeralds — we steward a rare natural asset with care, discipline, and long-term intent.
Our Philosophy
The Menzies Emerald Project is being advanced using modern exploration techniques and carefully managed processing methods designed to minimise surface disturbance and operate in alignment with Western Australia’s stringent environmental and regulatory standards.
Our Ethical Commitment
Every Gemstar emerald is sourced from a legally permitted, conflict-free operation. From initial geological sampling within Mining Lease M30/8 through to sorting and downstream preparation, our processes are designed to support full traceability and responsible disclosure.
Operating under one of the world’s most robust mining and environmental frameworks, we believe that responsible development creates enduring value — ensuring that our impact on the land is carefully managed, while the value of what we produce can be preserved for generations.
Mining Approach
The Menzies Emerald Project is being advanced through a staged and selective mining approach. Initial activities focus on shallow, low-impact extraction within approved mining areas, allowing for close geological control and careful handling of mineralised material.
Mining methods are designed to remain flexible and scalable, enabling operational decisions to be refined as geological understanding improves, while maintaining compliance with Western Australian mining and environmental regulations.
Processing & Handling
Processing at Menzies prioritises preservation of gemstone integrity over throughput. Material is handled using simple, non-aggressive methods, with an emphasis on screening, washing, and manual sorting to minimise damage to emerald-bearing material.
This approach reflects the unique nature of emerald mineralisation, where careful handling and human judgment remain critical to maximising recovered value.
Operational Controls & Compliance
All mining and processing activities are conducted under valid permits and approvals issued by Western Australian authorities. Operations are supported by documented procedures covering environmental management, safety, and material handling, with ongoing oversight to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
